Dylans ATV Mudding Trick

by Dylan Sorey
(NC)

In my opinion, a great ATV mudding trick is to use super swamper tires, and when you go in the mud hole - don't go straight - turn and wiggle and just don't hesitate when you're stuck.

World of ATVs answer: Thanks for the tips Dylan, and we'll add a few to the ones you mentioned.

The Super Swampers are good ATV mudding tires, but we always recommend asking around your riding area to see what other riders are using. Every riding area is different, and a tire that works great one place, might not work that well in another.

An example would be if you ride where there tends to be deep ruts and the mud is soft or soupy, an ATV mud tire with deep lugs around the sidewall will work better because it can bite the side of the rut and keep moving.

But if your riding area tends to be more rocky with shallower mud holes, those sidewall lugs will just make it harder to steer as they are snatched around by the rocks.

What we're trying to say is there really isn't a single "best" ATV mudding tire for all conditions, but there probably is one that works better for your kind of riding.
